What a Good Connection Actually Gets You

Dependable internet is not a luxury anymore. It is family movie night streaming without the spinning wheel, the kids gaming with friends two provinces over, a video call to a child working away, and a rural business reaching customers anywhere. It is a full house of phones, TVs, laptops, and cameras all running at once without anyone shouting to get off the internet.

MCSnet is built to carry all of it. Check what reaches your address and we will show you the speeds available where you live, then help you match them to how your household actually uses the internet.

The County Seat at the Crossroads

Sedgewick sits where Highway 13 meets Highway 869, with the Canadian Pacific Kansas City railway and Iron Creek both running straight through town. A village was incorporated here on March 6, 1907, and Sedgewick became a town on May 1, 1966. Today it also hosts Flagstaff County’s administrative office. Killam sits to the west, Lougheed to the east, and Holden and Viking are the neighbours to the north.

A Main Street Built to Last

Sedgewick’s Main Street still carries businesses that have served the community for generations. The Wild Rose Co-op Recreation Centre anchors community life with curling, skating, hockey, and bowling, plus concerts and festivals; the arena’s roof was replaced in 2021 with help from community fundraising. Central High Sedgewick Public School rounds things out with career-exploration events that bring in colleges, the RCMP, and the Canadian Forces.

Lake Park, Rodeo Grounds, and a Museum

Sedgewick Lake Park Campground runs 59 to 60 serviced and unserviced sites from May through September, with two mini-cabins, a wading pool, a spray park, a playground, paved walking trails, horseshoe pits, a beach, and a weekly farmers market. The Sedgewick Archives Gallery and Museum preserves the area’s history, and the Sedgewick Ag Grounds hosted the Killam Rodeo in both 2025 and 2026 while Killam’s Agriplex was under renovation, putting Sedgewick at the centre of Flagstaff County’s biggest annual event.
