In the heart of northeastern Alberta, Stoney Lake Community Association brings residents plenty of opportunities to build a strong, connected community around Stoney Lake. The Association is responsible for managing facilities and hosting events of all sizes for residence and guests to enjoy.
MCSnet is a part of connecting the Stoney Lake Community Association by providing a complimentary hish-speed internet connection for use on the event grounds and buildings. It is important to MCSnet to be apart of the community through our Community Connections program and bring a reliable internet connection for many to utilize at no cost to the organization.
It is the year for an unforgettable celebration! The Stoney Lake Community Association is throwing a 60th anniversary bash you won’t want to miss. The festivities will kick off with the Pasture Party, a concert headlined by the legendary George Canyon on Friday, July 5th, 2024. Then, the excitement continues all weekend long with the heart-pounding action of the annual rodeo. Watch fearless cowboys and cowgirls take on bucking broncos and mighty steers, and join in on the fun with a whole range of activities for everyone in the family.
MCSnet is a co-presenting sponsor for the Pasture Party with George Canyon and we are thrilled to giveaway a VIP experience for two. The full event and contest details can be found on the contest webpage mcsnet.ca/pasturepartycontest.
Below The Stoney Lake Community Association shares how our reliable complimentary internet donation allows them to collaborate, share and utilize essential resources for a successful community organization.
In working together to support the Stoney Lake community spirit, our association aims to provide rural Alberta a space to enjoy the outdoors and connect with neighbors near and far. We are focused on enhancing interaction and allowing our love and tradition for the rodeo and agriculture to shine through the experiences of others.
Prior to partnering with MCSnet, our limited communication infrastructure, compounded by poor cellular service, created significant challenges in event coordination. MCSnet’s reliable internet solution has transformed our operations, enabling seamless connectivity and vastly improved efficiency.
We’re proud of our grassroots in rodeo and community and want to share it. Our hope is to create memories for all who participate for years to come.
The implementation of MCSnet’s internet service at our remote location empowers us to maintain the currency of our social media platforms during live events. Additionally, this development paves the way for the future expansion of our payment options available to our patrons.
We donated our grounds to a local 4-H Alberta club to host their achievement day event. It was rewarding to help these youth in developing and showcasing their skills.
