Your Role:
The responsibilities of the Field Operations manager include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Providing leadership and hands-on management of the field team, including assessing and managing performance, guiding the team's development needs, coordinating workflows, and providing feedback and coaching to resolve conflicts.
- Leveraging operational business expertise and strategic leadership to support the company's growth and future trajectory by actively participating in the development of the strategic plan.
- Building strong interdepartmental relationships and a cohesive team culture to maximize synergy and efficiency between the field team and company departments.
- Working closely with Human Resources and initiating HR activities for direct reports including coaching, recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, employee development, employee recognition and general support.
- Working closely with the Safety Administrator to ensure health and safety programs are maintained to mitigate risk, optimize worker health and safety, and foster a positive occupational health and safety culture.
- Overseeing the completion of all work orders to ensure alignment with project scope of work.
- Ensuring network health, reliability and service excellence through comprehensive field operations.
- Providing comprehensive reports on performance metrics and analysis to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent is required, a university degree or college diploma in engineering, business administration, commerce or other discipline related to the company's product is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree or college diploma in engineering, construction, technology or other related field, is preferred, equivalent education and work experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a similar field is preferred.
- Previous experience in Project Management/Change Management, working in a project environment is required. Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
- Must have a Class 5 drivers license, a clean driving record and be willing to travel, as required.
- Intermediate level computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in email, IP, Routing, RF, and Google Office Suite.
- Must have and maintain a clean criminal record check.
