We are currently expanding and have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Scheduling & Dispatch Coordinator to join our MCSnet team. Reporting to the Field Operations Director, the Scheduling and Dispatch Coordinator synchronizes field activities across the Infrastructure, Construction, Logistics, and Fleet departments. This role optimizes resource scheduling and dispatch to align personnel and equipment with strategic targets, serving as the tactical link between project planning and field execution

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Scheduling and Dispatch Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Efficiency: Identify and implement scheduling improvements to meet performance targets; analyze workflows to align daily operations with the corporate strategic plan.
  • Master Scheduling: Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for Infrastructure, construction, fleet, and logistics teams, optimizing labor hours and managing departmental dependencies.
  • Tactical Dispatch: Act as the primary contact for field crews; manage real-time updates, resolve site access issues, and re-route teams during network emergencies.
  • Asset Coordination: Monitor fleet availability and health; ensure specialized equipment is dispatched in alignment with maintenance windows and crew schedules.
  • Integration & Reporting: Collaborate with the Logistics Supervisor to align material staging with dispatching; maintain logs of work orders to provide data-driven insights for leadership.
  • Access Coordination: Liaison with site owners ,landlords and property managers to coordinate construction and maintenance of tower sites access as required
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to the Canada Labour Code, federal telecommunications standards, and provincial safety mandates.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Reporting:workflows, including the design of KPI dashboards, real-time performance tracking, and the delivery of daily progress reports
  • Operational Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned, including resolving ad hoc operational issues and participating in cross-departmental meetings to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Include but are not limited to:

  • Training: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project management or a related field (equivalent work experience will be considered).
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 2–5 years of proven experience in technical dispatch, resource coordination, or logistics within the Telecommunications, Utilities, or heavy Construction industries.
    • Demonstrated experience assisting senior leadership in achieving departmental targets through meticulous resource management.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, and telecom schematics (OSP/ISP); familiarity with the ISP project lifecycle, including fiber splicing and site surveys.
  • Systems Expertise: Proficiency in Field Service Management (FSM) software, GIS mapping, and GPS tracking.
  • Logistics & Coordination: Advanced ability to manage resources and equipment across vast territories to maximize crew density and resolve conflicting departmental priorities.
  • Communication: Exceptional skills to act as a professional liaison between office staff, management, and field crews.
  • Compliance & Conduct: Must have and maintain a clean criminal record check.
  • Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with Alberta and Saskatchewan’s infrastructure landscape and utility regulations.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as required by operational demands.
