MCSnet 2022 Scholarship Recipients

As one of Alberta’s largest rural internet providers, we believe students deserve to grow their education in technology. That’s why we started the MCSnet Scholarship program. Our local communities are at the heart of our success, and we want to invest in our young people’s future.

We are pleased to announce the 2022 scholarship recipients. Congratulations to the following students:

• Kori Kozicki, Elk Point, AB – Bachelor of Science (Major – Computer Science)
• Natalya Yuschyshyn, Westlock, AB – Bachelor of Science (Major – Computer Science)
• Daniel Kam, (St. Paul) – Engineering – Mechanical Engineering 
• Sabrina Pricope, (Bonnyville) – Bachelor of Science (Major – Biology) 

Each of the award winners was presented with a $1,000 cheque and an MCSnet swag bag. 

To be eligible, you must be pursuing post-secondary education in Computer Science or related studies, and reside in the MCSnet service area.

Rhonda Lafrance

Rhonda joined MCSnet in 2019 to lead the rebranding and marketing for the Alberta-based internet service provider. She is now part of the senior leadership team and as the Chief Marketing Officer, she oversees all marketing, sales, business development, and sponsorships/donations for the company. As a former newspaper editor, constituency office manager, and school board trustee, Rhonda understands the importance of communities and building relationships. Rhonda also owns a small business with her husband and has lived in the St. Paul area for over 27 years. She has two young adult sons.
