What a Good Connection Actually Gets You

Dependable internet is not a luxury anymore. It is family movie night streaming without the spinning wheel, the kids gaming with friends two provinces over, a video call to a child working away, and a rural business reaching customers anywhere. It is a full house of phones, TVs, laptops, and cameras all running at once without anyone shouting to get off the internet.

MCSnet is built to carry all of it. Check what reaches your address and we will show you the speeds available where you live, then help you match them to how your household actually uses the internet.

One Lake That Became Two

The Mann Lakes used to be a single lake. When Highway 28 went through in 1961, it split the water into Upper Mann Lake and Lower Mann Lake, and cabin life grew up on both sides: quiet shorelines, canoe mornings, and lake lots that families hold onto for generations. There is no big marina or public campground here, and that is exactly the point. The nearest fuel and supplies are in Ashmont, minutes away.

Quiet does not have to mean disconnected. Working from the cabin, streaming on a rainy day, and keeping the security camera online through the winter all run on the same tower network we built for the farms around these lakes.

Fiber Is Coming to the Lake

Both Upper and Lower Mann Lake are named communities in MCSnet’s current federally supported fiber expansion, the same 3,401-household build that covers Lottie Lake, Horseshoe Bay, and Vincent Lake. Trees and terrain make lakes the hardest places for wireless signals, which is why these shorelines are getting glass in the ground, with construction scheduled to complete by March 2027.

Until then, our fixed wireless keeps cabins connected today, and checking your address now puts you in line for fiber the moment it lights up. Follow the build here.

Around the Lakes

Supplies and services run through Ashmont, where GigAir is already live. Floatingstone Lake’s county campground with its sandy beach and boat launch is a short drive north, and the wider County of St. Paul guide covers every neighbouring community. Frequently Asked Questions

How much does internet cost in Mann Lakes?

Plans start at $49.95 per month, and right now new customers get three months of unlimited internet at that price. Exact pricing depends on which service reaches your address, so the availability checker shows your options and their prices in about a minute.

How do I find out which service I can get?

Enter your address on our availability page. It checks your location against our network and shows what reaches you, along with the speeds and pricing available at that address. You can also call our local team at 780-645-4417.

Can I get internet at a cabin on Upper or Lower Mann Lake?

Yes. MCSnet’s fixed wireless network covers both lakes today, and both are named in our fiber expansion completing by March 2027. Check your address and we will confirm what reaches your lot right now.

Is the internet good enough to work remotely from the lake?

That is what it is built for. Fixed wireless handles video calls and remote work today, and once fiber reaches the shorelines, lake internet will match anything in the city.

When exactly does fiber arrive at the Mann Lakes?

The project’s construction deadline is March 2027, with communities lighting up in phases as the build progresses. Checking availability now is the best way to be notified when your address goes live.
