What a Good Connection Actually Gets You

Dependable internet is not a luxury anymore. It is family movie night streaming without the spinning wheel, the kids gaming with friends two provinces over, a video call to a child working away, and a rural business reaching customers anywhere. It is a full house of phones, TVs, laptops, and cameras all running at once without anyone shouting to get off the internet.

MCSnet is built to carry all of it. Check what reaches your address and we will show you the speeds available where you live, then help you match them to how your household actually uses the internet.

A Summer Village Becoming a Year-Round One

Horseshoe Bay incorporated as a summer village in 1985 and celebrated its 40th anniversary in July 2025. Around 145 lots line Vincent Lake’s north shore, and the census tells the story of where lake life is heading: the village’s population jumped 65% between 2016 and 2021 as more owners made the lake home for more of the year. The Martin Recreation Centre anchors community events, the seasonal docks go in every spring, and the perch, pike, and walleye do not mind either way.

More year-round living means year-round internet: remote work in January, movie nights in July, and a connection that treats a lake address like a real address. That is what we build.

Fiber Is Coming to the Bay

Horseshoe Bay and Vincent Lake are both named communities in MCSnet’s federally supported fiber expansion, a 3,401-household build across rural Alberta’s lake country with construction scheduled to complete by March 2027. Lakeshores are where wireless works hardest, with trees and terrain between towers and cabins, so these communities are getting fiber in the ground instead.

Until your street lights up, our fixed wireless keeps the village connected, and checking your address now means you hear about fiber the moment it reaches your lot. Follow the build here.

Around Vincent Lake

The county’s Westcove campground shares the lake, the Mallaig Provincial Recreation Area’s beach is on the far shore, and the hamlet of St. Vincent carries the lake’s name. St. Paul and its services are 15 minutes away. Explore the rest of the County of St. Paul or the whole MCSnet network.
