What a Good Connection Actually Gets You

Dependable internet is not a luxury anymore. It is family movie night streaming without the spinning wheel, the kids gaming with friends two provinces over, a video call to a child working away, and a rural business reaching customers anywhere. It is a full house of phones, TVs, laptops, and cameras all running at once without anyone shouting to get off the internet.

MCSnet is built to carry all of it. Check what reaches your address and we will show you the speeds available where you live, then help you match them to how your household actually uses the internet.

Founded by Edgerton Day

Daysland takes its name from Edgerton W. Day, who bought 116,483 acres from the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1904 and served as the town’s first mayor. It was incorporated as a village in 1906 and became a town in 1907. Sitting on Highway 13 about 40 kilometres east of Camrose, Daysland still calls itself “the central hub for education, medical services and shopping” for the mixed-farming region around it.

The Palace Theatre, Screening Since 1952

The Palace Theatre, built in 1952 by the Tury family on Daysland’s main street, ran as a family movie theatre with nightly shows and Saturday matinees until 1999. Ownership then passed to the Daysland and District Cultural Arts Society (DaysArts), which renovated the building and now programs live theatre, concerts, and kids’ shows, with six concerts scheduled every season from November to April.

Trails, Greens, and a Full Calendar

The Crocus Trail, a 3.5 kilometre walking path marked with purple flags, loops past a fish pond stocked with trout every spring, and the Daysland Golf Club’s 9-hole course includes an island green. The Edgerton Day Campground and the Daysland Golf Course Campground both offer camping, and the town’s calendar runs from a Canada Day celebration with a car show, to Farmer’s Day, to a Christmas Parade of Lights and Christmas Market.
