The Cherry Grove Recreation & Agricultural Society runs the community hall, an outdoor ice rink, and rodeo grounds, and every August the hamlet hosts the Cherry Grove Lawn Tractor Races. What started as a rivalry between two neighbours building better mowers has grown into a field of racers from Vermilion, Calgary, and Two Hills, with the 9th Annual race set for August 22, 2026, drawing 600 or more spectators. Cherry Grove also became home to Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority Station 10 in December 2025.
