About Kinosoo Ridge

Kinosoo Ridge is a year round outdoor recreation hill in the MD of Bonnyville, about 14 km east of Cold Lake. In winter it runs 12 trails across roughly 41 acres of skiable terrain, served by two quad chairlifts and three carpet lifts, along with terrain parks, a tube park, and night skiing. In summer the hill switches over to an Aerial Adventure Park and other outdoor recreation, making it a destination through most of the year rather than only a few winter months.

MCSnet sponsors the free Wi-Fi hotspot in the chalet and day lodge area, so skiers, boarders, and families can check conditions, share a photo, or just stay in touch while they warm up between runs. It uses the same network name and password as every other MCSnet hotspot in the MD of Bonnyville, including the ones at the Bonnyville Historical Society and the Bonnyville Seniors Drop-In Centre in town.

Where: 63231 Range Road 411, Bonnyville, Alberta.

How to Connect

Use these steps to connect at Kinosoo Ridge. The network name and password are the same at every MCSnet sponsored hotspot.

  1. Open Wi-Fi settings on your phone, tablet, or laptop.
  2. Choose the network named MCSNET FREE.
  3. Enter the password freewifi (all lowercase, no spaces).
  4. You are online. There is no sign-in page and nothing to register.

Can’t see the network? Check that Wi-Fi is turned on and ask venue staff where the hotspot is available.

Why Free Wi-Fi Here Matters

Ski hills sit outside town on higher, more exposed ground where cell service can be spotty, and a day lodge full of cold hands and low phone batteries is exactly where free Wi-Fi is most useful. It lets families coordinate pickup times, lets staff stay connected, and gives visitors an easy way to check trail conditions without burning cellular data.

MCSnet sponsors this hotspot as part of its community partnership program across rural Alberta. See every free Wi-Fi hotspot in Bonnyville, the full hotspot directory, or read about high speed internet in Bonnyville.
