The Vilna Pool Hall and Barbershop is a Provincial Historic Resource on Vilna’s Main Street, and it is the oldest building in the village. It ran as a pool hall, barbershop, and confectionery for most of the last century before passing to the Friends of the Vilna Pool Hall Society. Inside, four turn-of-the-century pool tables remain, along with the barber chair and its cabinet, wooden benches, and period advertising signs, much as they were when the hall was a gathering place for men from the surrounding district. Tourism listings bill it as Alberta’s oldest operating pool hall and barbershop.
