About Vilna Agri-Plex Arena

The Vilna Agri-Plex Arena is a natural ice curling and arena facility run by the Vilna and District Agricultural Society, one of the venues that keeps winter sport alive in a village of a few hundred people. Like most natural ice facilities, the Agri-Plex depends on volunteer labour to flood, maintain, and book the ice each season, and the building is available for private rentals as well as league play.

MCSnet sponsors the internet connection at the Agri-Plex, so players, parents, and volunteers can get online during games, practices, and bookings, whether that is the local curling club on a league night or a family renting the ice. It is one of three MCSnet sponsored hotspots in the Village of Vilna, alongside the Cultural Centre and the Pool Hall, all reachable on the same network.

Where: 50 Street and 53 Avenue, Vilna, Alberta.

How to Connect

Use these steps to connect at Vilna Agri-Plex Arena. The network name and password are the same at every MCSnet sponsored hotspot.

  1. Open Wi-Fi settings on your phone, tablet, or laptop.
  2. Choose the network named MCSNET FREE.
  3. Enter the password freewifi (all lowercase, no spaces).
  4. You are online. There is no sign-in page and nothing to register.

Why Free Wi-Fi Here Matters

A rural arena that runs on volunteer scheduling and natural ice needs a reliable way to coordinate bookings, scores, and event details on the spot. A free, encrypted Wi-Fi connection at the Agri-Plex means parents in the stands and volunteers at the desk are not stuck relying on a thin cellular signal.

MCSnet sponsors this hotspot as part of its community partnership program across rural Alberta. See every free Wi-Fi hotspot in Vilna, the full hotspot directory, or read about internet across Smoky Lake County.
