About Legal Library

The Legal Public Library is the town’s branch of the Northern Lights Library System, connecting readers of all ages with books, programs, and research help from its branch at 4812 51 Avenue. As a member of the wider system, Legal residents can borrow across the network without paying an out-of-town fee. The branch opens Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings, alongside the reading programs and research help that a small town branch typically offers school kids, retirees, and everyone in between.

MCSnet sponsors the internet connection at the library, so students working on homework, job seekers filling out applications, and anyone without home internet can get online for free during open hours. The library sits alongside other MCSnet sponsored hotspots in Legal, including the curling club, the Centennial RV Park, and the ACFA Legal office, giving residents and visitors several places around town to count on for a free connection.

Why Free Wi-Fi Here Matters

A public library is often the one place in a small town where anyone can walk in and get online for free, whether that is a student researching a school project or a resident applying for a job. A reliable Wi-Fi connection means the library can keep filling that role without turning anyone away.

MCSnet sponsors this hotspot as part of its community partnership program across rural Alberta. See every free Wi-Fi hotspot in Legal, the full hotspot directory, or read about internet across Sturgeon County.
