About Lac Bellevue Campground

Lac Bellevue Campground sits about twenty minutes south of the Town of St. Paul and is run by the County as one of its four seasonal campgrounds. The site has powered and non-powered stalls, a 24-hour park attendant, a beach, a playground, and a reservable gazebo and day-use area that groups can book for the day. The Lac Bellevue & District Recreational & Agricultural Society, which runs a community hall and the campsite here, puts on live animal demonstrations, family dances, and slow-pitch and cornhole tournaments through the year.

MCSnet sponsors a free public Wi-Fi hotspot at the campground, so campers and day visitors can stay in touch without relying on cell signal, which thins out quickly once you leave the highway. It is one of four MCSnet hotspots at County of St. Paul campgrounds, alongside Floating Stone, Stoney Lake, and Westcove, and all four use the same network name and password.

How to Connect

Use these steps to connect at Lac Bellevue Campground. The network name and password are the same at every MCSnet sponsored hotspot.

  1. Open Wi-Fi settings on your phone, tablet, or laptop.
  2. Choose the network named MCSNET FREE.
  3. Enter the password freewifi (all lowercase, no spaces).
  4. You are online. There is no sign-in page and nothing to register.

No MCSnet home internet subscription is needed. Access to the building follows the venue’s opening hours and visitor policies.

Can’t see the network? Check that Wi-Fi is turned on and ask venue staff where the hotspot is available.

Why Free Wi-Fi Here Matters

Lac Bellevue draws campers and day-trippers from well outside the immediate area, many of whom have thin or no cell coverage once they turn off the highway. A free, encrypted Wi-Fi connection at the campground means they can check the forecast, coordinate a family gathering, or just keep in touch.

MCSnet sponsors this hotspot as part of its community partnership program across rural Alberta. See every free Wi-Fi hotspot in County of St. Paul, the full hotspot directory, or read about internet across County of St. Paul.
