MCSnet is building buried Fiber Optic cables to each building within select areas within the MD of Bonnyville. Internet speeds will be 1000 Mbps down and 1000 Mbps up with the ability to provide up to 10 GB speeds in the future.
MCSnet has successfully completed Fiber-to-the-Home projects within the Hamlets of Mallaig, Fort Kent, Cherry Grove, and Thorhild.

Our MCSnet Team will be visiting each home and business owner to receive permission to trench fiber optic cables on your property. At this time, you can choose your Fiber Plan. Existing MCSnet customers do not need to sign a new contract.
During the 2025 construction season, MCSnet representatives will trench fiber optic cable on approved routes throughout select areas. Any ground disturbances will be remediated throughout the construction process. Please note that in the spring utility flags and ground paint will be used to mark the fiber route.
Once you are signed up for MCSnet Fiber services, or if you are already an MCSnet customer, we will contact you to install your new Fiber to the Home services.
