Join us at our Tech Fair and Tasting!

April 4 is the day to bring your family and friends and join us as we host our first-ever Tech Fair at the St. Paul Rec Centre! It is MCSnet’s 25th anniversary and we want to show our appreciation to our customers and our local communities by celebrating with some fun activities and some great food and beverages. Everyone is welcome!

We have hired audio-visual experts, FMAV, to bring you the coolest tech experiences around. They are helping us bring a big city experience here to small-town, rural Alberta.

See the history of MCSnet on a large touch-screen display:

Compete in a giant race car game, complete with a jumbo joystick:

Or go on a virtual ride with FMAV’s VR headsets:

Get your picture taken with a friend on a green screen and a background of your choice. We will have up to six different picture options to choose from.

Win a prize in our digital game, featuring the skills of our very own programmers and micro:bits.

Local tech and coding club instructor, Travis Eddingfield, will be on hand to showcase how easily you can program a micro:bit to complete a number of tasks.

Over on the food and beverage side, we are featuring a 16-FOOT ICE BAR from Frozen Memories, customized with our branding…

We are also partnering with local businesses Wine Knows, Lakeland Brewing, and West of the 5th, for some unique wine, beer, and moonshine tasting (must be 18+ years of age—identification required at entrance).

On the food side, we are partnering with our local Portage College Food students to bring you a poutine bar and some tasty appetizers. Brenda Billo will be gracing us with one of her tasty cake creations and cupcakes to help us celebrate 25 years.

In order to keep track of how many people to expect and the amount of prizes and complimentary food and beverages to have on hand, please use Eventbrite to get your FREE tickets.

The first 200 people through the door on April 4 will receive a free gift! Our goal is to have fun and we want you and your family and friends to be a part of it! Stay tuned to our social media posts for more updates.
